TIMBER CLEGHORN
Survivalist. Wildman. Humanitarian.
About Me
Childhood
Timber grew up off-grid, living in a remote patch of woods in southern Indiana. Raised with no modern conveniences, he learned survival skills in the most effective way possible - by living off the land. It taught him to have a resourceful spirit and resilient mind, along with a unique perspective on life.
Professional Life
After graduating from an intensive linguistics program, Timber began working overseas on various linguistic research and development projects. This job took him to all sorts of remote places throughout Asia where he lived among some of the world’s most isolated cultures. Living among subsistence cultures honed Timber’s survival experience and gave him an appreciation for culture and ancestral wisdom from around the world.
Timber now focuses on being a survivalist, hunter, bushcrafter, songwriter, and all-around lover of life. But, most importantly, he’s a husband, dad, and follower of Jesus.
His favorite things to do are:
Hunt
Hunt more
Keep on hunting forever
Enjoy a barbecue with friends
Snorkel
Reaching out a helping hand to suffering people in conflict zones
He loves to teach survival and resilience workshops, approaching each topic through the lens of a relationship with God. He also does men’s retreats, youth groups, church services and more!
“There is more to life than the avoidance of death.”
