While working on our linguistic project on the Afghan border we came into contact with a lot of refugees who were fleeing the Taliban takeover in 2021.  We came to be deeply involved in the evacuation and rescue efforts, and have since maintained a strong presence serving the displaced and homeless among those refugees.

We support a number of war refugee communities both in Tajikistan and in the US. We help to source medical services, bring personal trauma counseling, provide literacy education and assist in job placement.
