The Marco Polo sheep has been described as the holy grail of sheep trophies. Tajikistan offers the strongest and most sustainable herd, and is the world record-holder for horn length.

Get an Ibex hunt included in the same price, in case you tag out early and want to see some more action. These Mid-Asian Ibex hunts are a worthy trophy pursuit all on their own.

Season: October through February.

Hiking: Not as physically demanding as Ibex hunting. Herds of sheep can be located using Land Cruisers, and usually a short hike is enough for a stalk.

Lodge: comfortable lodge available. Heat, toilets and showers.

Stalk Difficulty: Moderate. Shots can sometimes be taken without leaving the 4x4 track.
